Chapter 16: Momentum Methods

"Integrating Newton's second law with respect to time yields a relation between the time integral of the forces acting on an object and the change in the objects' linear momentum. With this result, called the principle of impulse and momentum, we can determine eth change in an object's velocity when the external forces are known as function of time, analyze impacts between object, and evaluate forces exerted by continuous flows of mass."
