The DimensionEngine calculator converts units and solves equations using any combination of units - metric, English, or mixed. The calculator automatically does all needed conversions, so you don't have to. There are no pull-down menus, and you aren't limited to a pre-programmed set of units. It's fast, easy, and free. Plus it's all text, so you can easily copy, paste, and share your work.
Suppose you want to convert 10 inches into centimeters. In the DimensionEngine main window under the Input tab,
- Enter the value and units you want to have, a semicolon, and the units you want
- Then click the "Calculate" button or type "Shift-Enter" on the keyboard
The results automatically appear in the window under the Output tab. The text you entered in the Input tab is still there, so you can go back, edit any mistakes, and re-calculate. If you want to start over, use the "Clear" button to clear the input.
To convert the same input into multiple output units:
- Keep adding semicolons for each unit conversion you want.
To convert different inputs all at once:
- Add each conversion on a separate line.
